HP

Today I received an email. It was the Harry Potter newsletter sharing the first look at the new website for the new moving coming out July 15. After I read this email I laughed at myself a little remembering how much of a fanatic I was about Harry Potter. One year for lent I remember giving up surfing my harry potter fan club websites. This is no joke. They consumed my life. I got every book that that was released the day it was released and didn't put it down until I was done reading it. I had harry potter trading cards and Bertie bots every flavor beans. I was tragically in love with the actor who played Oliver Wood in the first movie through middle school. I remember begging my dad to buy that movie. I played the computer games through to the end. I never could beat he who must not be named at the end, but I surely spent all summer trying. And by all summer I mean ALL SUMMER. I looked up recipes online for butter beer and pumpkin pasties. I have drawn a lightning bold scar on my face for more than one occasion. I have read the Ultimate Unofficial Guide to the Mysteries of Harry Potter. Basically, I was surprised to reflect on how much this one wizarding community has encompassed my life. I am officially a nerd.

I kind of love you for that. And I remember that time in 9th grade when you talked about how the best day of your life was when Harry Potter 5 came out. That was a funny time of life. Heart you.
