Well, it has been quite an interesting endeavor having the mornings free rather than nights like normal working people do. This gives me from the time I wake up, to 1:30 p.m. to do whatever I want. I guess people who work days can do whatever they want from 5:00 p.m. to when they go to bed, but they have more social pressures I feel like to do stuff with people. These invisble pressures are non-existant in my world. Plus, I'm not much fun after 9:00 p.m. Never had been.
So this new schedule works to my advantage in lots of ways. For one, I am a morning person. No matter how hard I try, I wake up when the sun does or soon after. Today that meant 6:26 a.m. I tried really hard to act like a normal young adult and sleep a little longer. Yesterday I went running and came back right when the family was emerging from their sleep, and I think it may have looked wierd.
So now what. Well, some of my new favorite activities include riding bikes with Jack, running, doing yoga, showering (shocker, I know), playing with other lonesome people who don't have day jobs, looking for a day job, driving to Provo to interview for on campus jobs, random ventures to places with Erin and Jack (aquarium, doctors, costco, splash pool), watching moments of Handy Manny or Lion King, thinking about scrapbooking or something, cleaning my room, cleaning my car, laying out, and whatever else I feel like. This is the life.

My new roommates.
I have 6 wonderful new roommates for the summer. You'd never guess that four of them were born several years before my time. We have a great time together. Maggie is teaching me to cook, and lots of other things too. Keith is teaching me all about every kind of sport. I watch
ESPN now. And I'm a Lakers fan. Erin and I do cool kid stuff like go get frozen yogurt and hang out at the splash pool. Ryan cooks me manly meals.
And then there's Jack. I'm Jack's MaryGodmother. Our relationship is rather complicated at times...He can say my name! Well, it sounds like "MA". Close enough. He likes to hang out with me upstairs and jump on the bed in the mornings. He jumps, not me. And he plays with the ceiling fan remote. Jack is always up for a good time. What can I say. We like the same movies, the same food, the same activities. Either he is very mature for his age, or something.
The other rooommate is Chuck, the cat who thinks he is human. I'm really trying to open my heart more to him, to treat him how I would want to be treated, but it will take a while. I have some baggage with cats. I used to have bad dreams about being attacked by them on street corners.
Tonight has been an extra exciting night for us. There was a wicked sweet thunder storm. Erin got some sweet picts.
I stand here ironing...
There is a short story by Tillie Olsen called "I stand here ironing". I read it in 11th grade I think. Now I recall it, and feel the same rhythm in my life as I sit here typing...or just sit here really. I won't say I'm bored. To me, boredom=defeat. Boredom=lack of creativity. Lack of creativity=lack of personality. This may seem like a harsh standard, but no fear. I don't think I project the standard onto others. People's relationship to boredom is there own business. Not my place to judge.
