7 quick-takes (or in other words, 7 random thoughts on my mind today)
1. This is the park a few miles from my apartment. I have walked here pushing my babe in the stroller more times than I can count. Walking has become a kind of free-therapy for me in these months of new motherhood. I am so grateful that I live in a place where winter looks like this.
2. As soon as I find someone here in the bay who accepts my offer of sharing an icy Diet Coke with me we will immediately become best friends and live happily ever after as best bay friends.
3. We are moving next week to a new apartment. Moving with a baby seems like it will be an adventure. Said baby has been sick for a whole week now with a stomach virus. Watching my baby throw up is something I never imagined. It is so. sad. I had a realization yesterday that this baby phase won't last forever. The sleep deprived state isn't going to be forever. Realizing this I think will help me to appreciate this phase of life more.
4. I went to park day for the very first time. For some reason I haven't been able to bring myself to come to park day yet. But it is basically a friend making freebie! I don't know why I have been so stubborn before now. Maybe lazy is a better word...
5. I want to write more. I believe this is an important element of my life that I have been missing. The hardest part is the first step. Hence, this post as a way to ease back into it. For a while I have been scared away from blogging because I built up pressure in my mind to have a super popular/lucrative mommy blog. But that isn't what I really want, nor is it my aim in writing. My motivator is my love of writing and exploring my own thoughts, feelings, and experience through the process.
6. I just signed up for a snack subscription with Graze. It is ridiculous how excited about this I am.
7. I need to eat more vegetables. Why is eating healthy so much more expensive than eating crap?
