On being engaged

The other day Andrew and I were trying to come up with all the reasons why being engaged is so great, and all the things you can do when you're engaged that you can't do when you're married. This was in a noble effort to "enjoy the journey" of engaged life rather than wishing our time away.

Here is the list we came up with:

1. We still have separate finances, so spending is still an individual thing. This is fun.
2. If we have a fight at night or something, we still go home to different places, which allows us to have space to cool down and think things through. (This hasn't really happened, but if it does, what a blessing!)
3. We haven't been completely excluded from our single friends yet.
