The Story of My Hair

Once upon a time there was a happy blonde girl who was trying to grow out her locks, so that if needed they could be used as a make-shift ladder. So for years and years (or just a year) the girl took very good care of her hair. Each follicle on her head had to be accounted for as she brushed her head every night 100 times (or maybe she just did this one time). As the summer came, her hair was longer than it had been since her stepmother (minus the step) accidentally cut it off when she was 16 years old. Since then she had grown it so that it came down to her bicep again and she could do all kinds of twists and braids and buns with it. Maidens from all across the world admired its loveliness. However, her happiness was to be one day deterred when a new girl moved into the blonde girl's apartment. This new girl was of a brunette variety, and was skilled in the art of cutting and coloring hair. As time passed, she acted as a temptress for the blonde girl, and gradually, month by month, she convinced her to cut a little more of her hair off, until it reached just barely past her chin! Now the plan for the emergency ladder was foiled!! The only thing that could climb up her hair now would be gross little creatures that I can't even handle naming out loud, for fear of losing my lunch.

Luckily, after the final cut, the blonde girl realized that the brunette had placed a spell on her, which made her want to always have less hair, until one day she would have a pixie cut. Luckily, she awoke from the spell before it was too late. However, having now been awake for a few days she does quite enjoy the breeze which now tickles her neck rather than the thick blanket of hair that would gather sticky sweat during the hot summer months.

Little did the blond know, the brunette was actually a fairy in disguised, sent to help the blond girl see how silly the idea of using your hair as a ladder really is. Thank heaven.
