lessons I've learned

There are a few lessons I've learned while here on my own these past few months that I thought I would pass along to those I love so they can take the knowledge and not have to go through everything I have.....here goes.

1. Whatever you do, don't buy the cheap brand of raisin bran. There are only three raisins in the whole box, and the flakes don't taste like Wheaties.

2. There is a noticeable difference between skim milk and 2%. Don't trust people who tell you otherwise.

3. No matter how many times you walk past the garbage can, it will still be overflowing.

4. Be careful when you visit the real world to remember that hot water isn't unlimited where ever you go.

5. Don't make passes at people you wouldn't want to go out with.

6. Looks don't matter, especially in 7:45 classes.

7. "Would," and "will," are to be used in the second and third person while "should," and "shall" are for the first person. We've all been saying it wrong folks.

8. Don't put off grocery shopping until all you have to eat is pasta and tortillas. It's hard for your body to adjust to healthy food after such a dramatic diet.

9. Don't ever go without chocolate and ice cream for longer than a week. It is not healthy, and you will try to compensate for the lack of goodness by turning to other sweet treats, yet none will satisfy. It takes a lot of vanilla to make up for a little chocolate.

10. Happiness, (which we all know runs in a circular motion) can be found anywhere. It just depends on what glasses you chose to wear for the day.
