The snow today has inspired me to write this poem:
Sun on its way
to another side--
painting
fruit cocktail in the sky
as a salutation to the moon.
Side by side, boy and girl,
wishing the couch
was a porch swing and the sun's
rays were warm,
melting ice in lemonade, not
reflecting off the dingy snow
entering the room through slats of
dusty blinds.
