Blessings

“Let us recognize and make use of our talents, abilities, skills, and capacity instead of allowing these traits to be buried through self-criticism, forgetfulness, and disuse. Let us name our blessings one by one.” David S. Baxter, “Overcoming Feelings of Inadequacy,” Ensign, Aug 2007, 10–14

20 Blessings out of infinity

1. I have amazing parents who love me. I can talk to them about anything. They are powerful examples of love and service as well as how to be married.
2. My Dad has always honored his priesthood and is able to give me blessings upon my sincere request.
3. My family loves me and saves a place for me when I come home.
4. My siblings are fun, super people that I grow to appreciate more with each day. They are such spiritual giants who remind me what’s most important. They are my friends.
5. I have a testimony of the fullness of the Gospel. I have been baptized and have the gift of the Holy Ghost to help me know what to do in my life. I have a Savior who made it so I can live with my family forever, and be forgiven of all my sins, and relived of all my pains and afflictions.
6. I have always had great friends beside me to learn with. They have always been there when I needed them. Some even have agreed to live with me…
7. We have temples dotting the earth where we can be near to God! We can help our spirits there as well as those who have died. I always feel a great calm there. Someday I can participate even more!
8. Someday I am going to get to be a mom, and a grandma, and a wife. That will be cool.
9. I have the scriptures, which have everything I need to know, ever! There is a prophet on the earth to keep the church in line with what Heavenly Father knows we need. And, I can receive personal revelation.
10. I can pray to my Heavenly Father anytime, anywhere, and about anything. He hears me and answers.
11. Music. It speaks to my soul. If I wasn’t a Mormon, music would be my religion. It, along with art, feeds my soul.
12. I get to go to college! I found jobs last summer that let me pay for college!
13. Modern technology makes it very easy to stay in touch with my family and friends while I’m at college.
14. I’ve never had a problem sleeping at night.
15. I have the most comfortable bed ever, and a roof over my head, and many blankets.
16. I’ve been blessed with a desire and a thirst for knowledge, which makes the commandment to get an education so much easier!
17. Coloring books. I love to color, and the act of coloring has saved my sanity time and time again. Its one of my life’s simple pleasures.
18. My parents still take care of me.
19. I have a strong healthy body!
20. I have the legacy of my ancestors to live in! (Including my Grandparents) I have stellar examples of faith and love to look and live up to.
